The 2010 Nissan 370Z offers performance equal to some of the best sports cars available. The V6 is quite docile, though, and opening it up a bit produces an enjoyable and throaty growl. Power delivery is linear and athletic and particularly entertaining at higher revs. Although the automatic transmission matches revs on downshifts, a manual transmission brings out the most in the car. The six-speeds shifter feels heavy through the gates, but its fairly precise and clutch take-up is smooth (if not stiff). Around town, rearward visibility is poor. On a curvy road, however, the 370Z rewards its driver with a high level of outright grip and balance. The steering is a bit coarse in feel, but otherwise its quick and well weighted.

With its sporty suspension tuning (especially in coupe and 3.5 SE sedan guise) and quick steering, the 2010 Nissan Altima provides enthusiasts with one of the most enjoyable midsize coupes and family sedans available. Ride quality is still comfortable throughout the line, and road and wind noise are subdued. Strong performance from the V6 models should more than satisfy those who like a kick in the pants when they boot the gas, and the four-cylinder provides perfectly adequate acceleration. Easily the best we've come across, this CVT does an excellent job of maximizing each engines power, while responding rapidly to throttle inputs.

An all-new coupe model joins the 2010 Nissan Altima lineup. It features the same set of powerful engines and impressive transmissions but offers unique exterior styling, sportier suspension tuning and slightly smaller proportions. Currently, Nissan is selling only the coupe as a 2010 model. The 08 sedan will be released later in calendar-year 2010. Ever since its 2002 revival, the Nissan Altima has been a very popular choice for consumers interested in a sport-oriented family sedan. In particular, the previous-generation car was known for its athletic handling and performance. The 2010 Nissan Rogue is an all-new compact crossover SUV. Its not quite to the extent of Moon Unit Zappa or Apple Martin, but the 2010 Nissan Rogue should give its parents hell for its name. While its similarly styled big brother Murano is named after the glass-making island in beautiful Venice, the little Rogue is at best named after a rather dull X-Men character. At worst, this stylish cute-ute crossover shares its moniker with an uncontrolled animal that lives apart from the herd, or a plant that is inferior and unwanted. Do Nissans marketing folks not have a dictionary in the office? While the marketers blundered, the engineers flourished for this all-new small SUV. It may look like a Murano after a trip through a hot spin cycle, but under the skin, the Rogue is closely related to the compact Sentra sedan. Surprisingly, the Rogue manages to be better-looking, better-riding and more useful than its underwhelming progenitor. It shares the Sentras vague electric steering, but offers an all-independent long-travel suspension that smoothly gobbles up road imperfections. It is stable at higher speeds and provides a good combination of highway and city road manners. If you're looking for a compact crossover that drives most like a car, this is it. .

Other options, depending on the trim, include second-row captains chairs (dropping seating capacity to seven), a power-fold feature for the third-row seat, Bluetooth connectivity, auto-dimming side mirrors, a new navigation system that can also store digital music on its 9.3GB hard drive, a rear-seat DVD entertainment system, satellite radio and a sunroof.
